It’s been only a couple of months since we launched our cooking classes in Lisbon, but we’re already looking for new ways to share the local flavors and traditions with everyone who makes their way to our table.
So, what you ask is Catia up to? She’s recently started making homemade fruit liqueurs similar to the ones you’ll find lining the shelves of gift shops around Lisbon. She took her inspiration from a recent trip to an organic garden in Sintra where we get much of the produce for our cooking classes.
Armed with baskets full of seasonal pickings, Catia headed back to our kitchen where she infused the fruit into locally distilled spirits and left them to allow the flavors to marry. Right now, we have fig and strawberry liqueurs available and will soon have lemon and wild blackberry to offer.
Our liqueurs are available for sampling during our cooking classes. So, come join us and you might return home with a new hobby!
